Preparing your vehicle properly before shipping helps ensure a smooth pickup, secure transportation, and hassle-free delivery. At Wide Coast Car Mover’s, we recommend following a few simple steps before your scheduled Car Shipping Marina Del Rey, CA service.
Wash Your Vehicle
Cleaning your vehicle before pickup makes it easier to inspect for existing scratches, dents, or cosmetic imperfections. A clean vehicle allows both you and the carrier to complete an accurate condition report.
Remove Personal Belongings
Most auto transport carriers recommend removing personal items from inside the vehicle. Extra belongings can increase weight and may not be covered during transportation.
Check Tire Pressure
Properly inflated tires make loading and unloading safer and easier. It’s also a good idea to ensure your battery is charged and your vehicle starts without issues.
Leave a Small Amount of Fuel
Keep approximately one-quarter tank of fuel in your vehicle. This provides enough fuel for loading and unloading while avoiding unnecessary weight during transport.
Disable Alarms
If your vehicle has an active alarm system, disable it before pickup to prevent accidental activation while in transit.
Document Vehicle Condition
Take clear photographs of your vehicle from multiple angles before shipping. These images provide helpful documentation of its condition before transport begins.
Choose the Right Shipping Method
Wide Coast Car Mover’s offers several transportation options, including:
- Door-to-Door Auto Transport
